WWE Smackdown! Live Coverage & Discussion 3/7 Randy Orton VS AJ Styles WWE World Championship Number One Contender Match & More!

This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown! Live! Tonight after Randy Orton betrayed Bray Wyatt last week by destroying the remains of Sister Abigail, The Viper looks to sink his fangs into AJ Styles and go on to face Bray at Wrestlemania. John Cena and Nikki Bella team up for the first time in an inter gender tag match when they take on James Ellsworth and Carmella and much more so be sure to come back here at 8PM EST for all of the action!

-We open with a video package for how Randy turned on Bray last week. Shane and Daniel come out and announce the number one contender match main event, then they show the video we saw of Randy committing arson.

-We come back to AJ being upset about the match, saying he'll take out Randy Orton and it will be on them.

John Cena & Nikki Bella vs Carmella & James Ellsworth

As the match starts The Miz and Maryse come out and distract them, then Carmella superkicks Nikki as we go to commercial.

Carmella is in control as we come back until Nikki tosses her out of the ring and tags in Cena, but James won't come in the ring. James gets in, but tries to get away, Carmella pushing him into Cena. Carmella shoves Cena, then Cena and Nikki hit all of Cena's signature moves for the pin and the win.

Winner: John Cena & Nikki Bella via pinfall

-The Miz and Maryse take out Cena and Nikki after the match, then Miz grabs a mic and says he couldn't take it anymore and that Cena's relationship is a lie. Miz says that when there's true love you don't make someone sign a contract to be your girlfriend, saying that Cena decided to team up with Nikki due to the timing of Wrestlemania and to make more money. Miz and Maryse kiss and stand tall in the ring as Cena and Nikki are incapacitated on the floor.

-Next we have a brief interview with Randy Orton backstage about his match with AJ as we go to commercial.

-Curt Hawkins comes out to address Dean Ambrose and Dean just comes out and kills him on the ramp before getting on the mic and talking about Baron Corbin. Corbin appears on the mini-tron again, opting to not come to the ring for the second week in a row. Dean leaves the ring and Curt goes to attack him, but Dean hits him with Dirty Deeds before going backstage. 

-We come back to Mojo and Dolph backstage, then Dean is on the prowl for Corbin who attacks him with a metal pipe, then puts him under a forklift before leaving. 

-Alexa Bliss comes out to the ring with Mickie James and thank the crowd, then talks about going to Wrestlemania and who she's facing at Wrestlemania, listing off the names of women it's not. Alexa talks about Becky, then Becky comes out and interrupts her saying that she is going to get the title shot, but Natalya comes out next and says it's her title shot. Alexa tells Natalya that she's the worst there is, the worst there ever was, and the worst there ever will be. They start arguing then Mickie says everyone is being selfish, saying she'll be Alexa's opponent at Mania, shocking Alexa. They argue more, then Daniel Bryan comes out to the ring. Daniel announces a gauntlet match for Wrestlemania, then a tag match that starts as soon as we come back from commercial.

Becky Lynch & Natalya vs Alexa Bliss & Mickie James

Alexa and Natalya start it off, going back and forth when they're not arguing, then Natalya tags in Becky. Alexa immediately tags in Mickie and Mickie focuses on the arm of Becky, Mickie backing Becky into her corner, Alexa tagging herself in. Alexa is in control of Becky until Becky hits a dragon screw leg whip and a series of leg drops for a quick 2 count before Alexa rolls to the outside. They get back in the ring after Mickie attacks Becky from behind and Alexa gets a quick 2 count as we go to commercial.

Mickie is in control as we come back, trying to keep Becky away from her corner, Alexa and Mickie tagging in and out frequently and keeping Becky away from Natalya who's desperate to get tagged in. Becky tries to fight back, but Mickie beats her down, then they beat on her in the corner. Becky comes back and drops Mickie repeatedly before Natalya comes in and hits Becky with a German suplex, then leaves, Alexa pinning Becky for the win.

Winner: Alexa Bliss & Mickie James via pinfall

-After the match Mickie lays Alexa out and holds up the belt, then leaves after draping it over Alexa.

Randy Orton vs AJ Styles WWE World Championship Number One Contender's Match

Randy teases an RKO immediately, but AJ counters and goes to the outside. They lock up once he's back in the ring for a clean break, then they exchange headlocks before Randy drops AJ when he runs the ropes. AJ hits Randy with a series of right hands, backing him into the corner, then Randy counters and whips AJ into the opposite corner. Randy stomps on the now injured back of AJ, then hangs AJ on the top rope for a quick 2 count. Randy hits a release powerslam that sends AJ across the ring, AJ rolling out of the ring and to the floor afterwards, but Randy comes out and back drops him onto the barricade. Randy gets back in after rolling AJ back into the ring, but AJ chop blocks him and sends Randy out of the ring as we go to commercial.

Randy is in control as we come back, keeping AJ grounded and focusing on his back and the back of his neck. AJ tries to come back, but Randy does instead, hitting AJ with his signature moves including the powerslam before hitting a full nelson slam for a near fall. AJ slips out of the back when Randy sets him on the top rope, then hits Randy with an ushigaroshi for a near fall of his own. Randy counters a Styles Clash and sends AJ to the apron before AJ counters a draping DDT into an Calf Killer. Randy counters and hits his draping DDT before going for an RKO, but AJ hits a Pele kick, then AJ teases a Phenomenal Forearm, Randy jumping in the air, but AJ ends up going for a 450 splash, but Randy catches him in mid-air with an RKO for the pin and the win.

Winner: Randy Orton via pinfall
