WWE SmackDown Results For 3/11/2022: New Day vs Sheamus & Ridge Holland + More

- We start the show with a video package showcasing Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns brawling on the 3/5/2022 Madison Square Garden Live Event, which ended with Roman Reigns standing over a bloody Brock Lesnar while holding both the Universal & WWE Championships.

Swerve Strickland To Open 4/27 AEW Collision

- The transmission begins with Pat McAfee and Michael Cole welcoming the audience to the show airing from Birmingham, Alabama. Brock Lesnar enters the ring with a stoic walk after the beat down he got on the MSG Live Event. He starts out telling Reigns that you don't draw First Blood on Brock Lesnar and live to tell about. He continues to mention that he doesn't care about contracts or WWE titles, telling Lesnar the following: "Get your ass out here now!".

Paul Heyman walks to the ring to inform that Reigns is not in the venue for the night, which leads to Lesnar interrupting, before chasing down Heyman throughout the arena. Backstage, Lesnar would continue to chase down Heyman, but Heyman would drive his way off the building.

- We get an interview with Sheamus and Ridge Holland discussing why they altered Big E's, revealing that they made it better. Sheamus would proceed to introduce his friend Butch, who is revealed to be former NXT United Kindom Champion Pete Dunne.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Big E) vs Sheamus & Ridge Holland (w/ Butch)

The match begins with Sheamus and Kofi Kingston exchanging strikes before Ridge Holland tags in and hit Kofi with a Shoulder block, which would lead to Kiingston hitting a runnig elbow on Holland. Kingston would proceed to hit a dropkick from the Middle Rope for a near fall. Sheamus and Big E would tag in and they would exchange strikes before Sheamus connected with the 10 fist to Big E's chest. Sheaus would attempt a move from the Top rope, but Big E would catch him with an overhead Suplex for a near fall, which would be followed with Kofi hitting a running Senton on Ridge Holland on the outside. Big E would attempt a running Splash on the apron, followed by an eye-poke from Ridge on Big E & a knee to the head of Big E on the outside before the commercial break.

After the break, Big E would connect Ridge Holland with a Belly to Belly Suplex, which would lead to both Sheamus and Kofi Kingston tagging in. Kofi would continue to build offend before connecting the Boom - standing Double-leg drop on Sheamus, followed by the SOS for the near fall. Big E would attempt the running Spear on Ridge Holand, but he will miss, followed by an overhead suplex from Holland on Big E outside. Kofi would attempt a double stomp and would go to the top rope, but he would be distracted by Butch before being hit with a Brogue Kick, leading to Sheamus picking up the win.

After the match, Butch would continue to attack Kofi Kingston, but he would be held back by Sheamus and Ridge Holland before he continued to do more damage.

Winner: Sheamus & Ridge Holland (w/ Butch)

- We get a video package showcasing Kevin Owens' request from the past Monday's Raw, inviting "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to the KO Show on Wrestlemania.

- After the break, there is a montage of news sites showing the news of Steve Austin returning to Wrestlemania, which was first reported by Fightdul Select. This would be followed with another promo package showcasing Kevin Owens challenging Steve Austin to show up on Wrestlemania. After this, we cut to a pre-recorded promo from Steve Austin accepting Kevin Owen's invitation, saying he is going to open One more can of ass-whooping on Kevin Owens on Wrestlemania: Night 1 on 4/2/2022.

- After this, we see the Progressive Match-Flow, recapping the Intercontinental Championship Match between Ricochet and Sami Zayn, showcasing Johnny Knoxville costing Sami Zayn the Intercontinental Championship, crowning Ricochet as the new champion.

- Sami Zayn would be interviewed by Kayla Braxton, who would reveal that Johnny Knoxville had Sami's phone number all over Los Angeles. Sami Zayn would sound visible livid, but he still mentioned that Ricochet was lucky last week. He states he will regain the Intercontinental Championship from Ricochet.

- Drew McIntyre & Viking Raiders (Eric & Ivar) vs Baron Corbin, Madcap Moss & Jinder Mahal was scheduled prior to the commercial break, but the team of Madcap Moss, Corbin and Mahal wold ambush both Viking Raiders backstage. This would lead to all of them attacking McIntyre in the ring, which would lead to McIntyre connecting a Michinoku Driver on Shanky and McIntyre pointing to the Wrestlemania sign with his huge sword to end the segment.

- A video package highlighting Sonya Deville vs Ronda Rousey would follow, showing Rousey tapping out Deville for the victory and Rousey locking in Charlotte Flair with the Ankle Lock for the visual tap-out.

- After the commercial break, there's a video package showcasing Lita's career in honor of Women's History Month.

- Rousey comes into the ring and cuts a promo discussing her match against Charlotte Flair, revaling that there is no better way to beat Charlotte Flair than by honoring Kurt Angle, her first wrestling mentor, with making Flair tap out to the Ankle Lock. Charlotte Flair would make her entrance to the ring before stating that her match against Rousey would be the biggest fight of her life, also stating that she will not be tapping out. Ronda would respond by stating that she already did and that she will do it again, but Flair would respond that stating that she will embarrass, humiliate, and tap out Rousey at Wrestlemania. Rousey would tell Charlotte to fight her, but Flair would walk out of the ring. Rousey would end her statement by stating that Flair will only have 2 options at Wrestlemania: Rousey walking out of Dallas with Flair's arm or Flair tapping out.

Sasha Banks & Naomi vs Shayna Baszler & Natalya

After the commercial break, the match abruptly begins with both Baszler and Naomi in the ring, but Natalya would tag in and connect a Michinoku Driver on Naomi for a near fall. Baszler would tag back in by stomping Naomi's ankle, followed by a modified heel hook from. Naomi would escape and connect Naomi with a kick on Shayna's face, which would lead to both Banks and Natalya tagging in, leading to Banks connecting a Meteora on Natalya, sending Natalya to the outside. Queen Zelina would distract Banks, leading to Natalya connecting The Boss with a Lariat for a near fall. Natalya would be sent to Queen Zelina's way, leading to Sasha Banks connecting a Codebreaker on Natalya for the pinfall win.

Winners: Sasha Banks & Naomi

- After the commercial break, The Usos would reveal that they don't have plans for Wrestlemania plans, which would lead to Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura walking in and challenging The Usos for a SmackDown Tag Team Match but the Usos stated that they would only accept if an injured Boogs defeated Jey Uso in a match at the moment, leading to the match.

Jey Uso (w/ Jimmy Uso) vs Rick Boogz (w/ Shinsuke Nakamura)

Jey Uso would aim at the knee of Rick Boogs, but Boogs would reveal that he is not injured and would get Uso with Standing Suplex, followed by Boogs deadlifting Uso before Jimmy Uso distracted Boogs for Uso to attempt a roll-up, but it would end in a near fall. Boogs would get Jey Uso in a Pumphandle Bodyslam for the pinfall win, but he would be hit with his guitar by Jimmy Uso, leading to the Usos walking out.

Winner: Rick Boogs (w/ Shinsuke Nakamura)-

- A segment involving Roman Reings and Brock Lesnar is scheduled for 3/18/2022 edition of SmackDown.

- Prior to the match, Austin Theory would walk in and sit at the commentary table next to Pat McAfee, and Theory would slap McAfee in the head. Both Theory and McAfee would brawl on the outside until officials would come in to separate them. Theory would be sent to the back by being held by multiple WWE Officials.

Intercontinental Championship Match

Sami Zayn vs Ricochet (c)

After multiple interruptions, Zayn begins the match by putting a headlock on Ricochet, but Ricochet would evade before connecting the scissors and a dropkick on Zayn. Ricochet woult attempt to kick Zayn, but Zayn would roll out and hit Rcochet with the top rope. Ricochet would attempt a Frankensteiner, but Zayn would catch him with a powerbomb for a near fall. Zayn would clothesline line Ricochet for another near fall, and Ricochet would connect with a Scissors on Zayn followed by a top-rope drop kick. Ricochet would connect Zayn with a Benadryller and would go to the top rope, but Zayn would push him out of the ring to cut to the commercial break.

Returning from the commercial break, Ricochet would attempt a standing Moonsault on Zayn, but he would fall on Zayn's knees and Zayn would do a modified package for a near fall. Ricochet would attempt a German Suplex, but Zayn would neutralize him with a series of elbows. Zayn would attempt a suplex, but Ricochet would reverse it into a Frankensteiner for a near fall. Ricochet would connect a series of Superkicks and a cartwheel, but Zayn would catch him with the blue Thunderbomb for a near fall. Ricochet would go to the top rope, but Zayn would catch him and connect an Super-Exploder Suplex. Zayn would attempt the Helluva Kick, but Ricochet would catch Zayn with the Recoil and follow it up with a 630 Splash for the pinfall victory and title retention.

Winner and still Intercontinental Champion: Ricochet

- Rousey and Charlotte would brawl backstage on Rousey's car while WWE officials tried to separate them. Flair would end the brawl by doing a variant of a Camel Clutch while clutching to Rousey's teeth, leaving the image of a damaged Rousey to end the show.
