WWE held its final full set of live events before heading into Summerslam weekend in Brooklyn.
The live schedule next week is light, as everything converges on Brooklyn, where NXT TakeOver emanates from Saturday with Summerslam taking place the next night -- with both events at the Barclays Center.
The Raw tour saw a couple of Summerslam previews -- with Finn Balor taking on Baron Corbin while Braun Strowman battled Kevin Owens in a series of Street Fights. Roman Reigns, as usual, was the headliner, this time facing Intercontinental Champ Dolph Ziggler in a series of matches that Reigns won by disqualfication when Drew McIntyre interfered on Ziggler's behalf.
More Summerslam previews could be found on Smackdown live events: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe and Lana and Rusev facing Andrade Almas and Zelina Vega, to be precise. The most newsworthy piece from the main roster shows was the apparent injury suffered by Tye Dillinger against Shelton Benjamin. Aiden English replaced Dillinger on the card the next night.
