- SmackDown ran at a frantic pace this week and while the night was supposed to begin with Big E taking on John Morrison, RETRIBUTION immediately made their presence felt.

- Also at the end of that match, Big E ate a Brogue Kick courtesy of Sheamus! Sheamus also picked up a victory tonight against Shorty G.
- Shorty G inadvertently got Matt Riddle attacked by Baron Corbin.

- Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman got physical on tonight's episode of SmackDown, which was rated TV-14.

- The Lucha House Party is back in full force as Kalisto returned tonight and helped Gran Metallik score a win over Nakamura. Also, Kalisto is looking jacked, brother!
- Tonight, Asuka earned herself a second Championship opportunity at SummerSlam. In addition to her WWE Raw Women's Championship opportunity, she will also challenge for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship.
