Samoa Joe is once again United States Champion.
Rey Mysterio was a man of his word on WWE Raw, officially relinquishing the WWE United States Title, handing it back to Samoa Joe. Mysterio defeated Joe at WWE Money in the Bank but Joe's shoulders were not down as the ref counted three. After the bout, Joe attacked Mysterio, injuring his shoulder in the process. Due to the injury, Mysterio will be sidelined for the foreseeable future and thus had to give up the US strap.
After Mysterio gave the title back to Joe, the Samoan Submission Machine showed no remorse, attacking Rey and add insult to injury.
