AEW paid tribute to Steve "Mongo" McMichael at AEW Collision Beach Break.
Tony Schiavone, Dean Malenko, Ric Flair, and Stevel's widow Misty McMichael were on hand to pay tribute to the late "Mongo" at AEW Collision Break Break on May 17th in Chicago.
Flair said the Steve was more man than anyone he's ever known in his life as he fought ALS for six years. Flair said Steve is now in heaven and praised Misty for staying by his side and taking care of him.
The crowd chanted "Mongo" during the tribute.

McMichael sadly passed away on April 23 at the age of 67 after battling ALS.
In the wrestling world, McMichael had a memorable run as a member of the Four Horsemen in WCW, and he is a former WCW United States Champion.
Before entering the ring, McMichael had a Hall of Fame football career, winning a Super Bowl while playing for the 1985-1986 Chicago Bears. He amassed 92.5 sacks in his NFL career, second most in Bears history. He was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 2024.
"Mongo" was laid to rest on Thursday.
