Since failing to win the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at IMPACT Bound For Glory 2022, Steve Maclin has become obsessed with gaining an opportunity at the World Championship.
Maclin's warpath has put him on a collision course with former World Champion Rich Swann. A match between the two in December 2022 ended in a double count-out, with officials scrambling to break both men apart. Now, Rich Swann has challenged Maclin to a match at the upcoming pay-per-view on Friday, January 13.
On the January 5 episode of IMPACT, Rich Swann challenged Steve Maclin to meet him and a Falls Count Anywhere match at the pay-per-view.
