The first round of the MLW Opera Cup began on Wednesday with two matchups.
In the first matchup of the tournament on MLW Fusion, Richard Holliday defeated TJP with the Market Crash. In the main event of the night, Tom Lawlor picked up a victory over Rocky Romero to advance to the semifinals.
Lawlor will meet the victor of Laredo Kid vs. ACH while Holliday will face the winner of Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Low Ki in the semifinals.
Both of those matches will take place on the December 2 episode of MLW Fusion.
