Ricochet Wins NXT North American Title From Adam Cole At TakeOver: Brooklyn 4

The One and Only is now the one and only NXT North American Champion.

Ricochet got the better of Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4, coming away with the victory following the 630. Ricochet looked to have victory secure moments earlier, but Cole showed off his ring awareness as Ricochet made his way to the top rope. Cole thought he was safe on the apron, but Ricochet leaped over the top rope and caught the leader of the Undisputed ERA with a hurricanrana to the outside.

Back inside the ring, Ricochet ascended to the top turnbuckle once again, and then this time, Cole could not get out of the way.

The match was a back-and-forth affair with Cole controlling the early portion, constantly reminding his opponent that he's "not special." Ricochet used his speed and athleticism to turn things around, but every time he looked to have the advantage, Cole was right there to cut him off.

The victory marks Ricochet's first taste of gold in NXT. Cole won the North American title at TakeOver: New Orleans in a ladder match that also featured the new champion.
