Ricochet Didn't Think He And Adam Cole Would Make It To NXT

Ricochet says being at NXT Takeover is mind blowing.

On Saturday, Ricochet will challenge NXT North American Champion Adam Cole for his title at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4. The two of them wrestled for a lot of the same promotions while on the independent circuit and in an interview with Gorilla Position Ricochet was asked about their paths to NXT and how it feels to be in the match at Takeover.

"It means the world. We've had a little bit of interaction on the indy scene. We actually haven't had a singles match since 2008 I wanna say. So back when neither one of us were any good or anything. The fact we are here together having this match for this Championship in Brooklyn. It's kind of mind blowing. I never would have thought we would be here," said Ricochet.

It should be noted, Ricochet mentioned Ace Arena in New Jersey which was the arena in which he and Adam Cole wrestled at Evolve 6 but that event took place in 2010 and not 2008. The two wrestlers have also met in singles matches at NXT Live Events.

Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4.

The full interview with Ricochet can be heard at the Gorilla Position YouTube.
