Ricochet Says He Was In The Zone At TakeOver: New York And Almost Forgot It Was His Last NXT Match

Ricochet was focused on putting on a great performance.

"The One And Only" Ricochet is one of eight men competing in this year's men's Money In The Bank match that is set to take place this Sunday at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view. It was just one month ago that Ricochet was maneuvering back and forth between RAW and SmackDown while gearing up for an NXT Tag Titles match at TakeOver: New York. Ricochet and Aleister Black were defeated by The Viking Raiders in that aforementioned match and that was Ricochet and Black's sendoff to the main roster. Ricochet recalled that night during an interview with Yahoo! Sports and stated that he was so in the zone that he almost forgot it was his last match for NXT.

The Elite: We're Getting AEW Back To What It Was Supposed To Be

“As far as saying good bye, I had thought about it a lot that day,” Mann said. “Once we got to the arena and everything started going, I was so in the zone that all of my thoughts were going into the match and wanting to give everything I’ve got for my last match and let it shine. I kind of forgot about it being my last match and potentially never being at a TakeOver again. It all just hit me with the fans standing up and all of the emotions hit me. Everyone was so cool, so welcoming, you form a real friendship with those guys.”
