The Riott Squad Were Told They Wouldn't Last Six Weeks As A Trio

Ruby, Liv and Sarah ended up lasting for nearly two years.

The once make-shift trio consisting of Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan were brought up together on the main roster in 2017 as SmackDown's version of 'Absolution' (Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville). Liv, Ruby and Sarah would later be dubbed The Riott Squad and the trio remained a unit until April of this year. All three stars have openly spoke about the friendship and the sisterhood that they developed throughout their time on the road together and they were filmed for a new episode of the WWE Network series 'Table For 3'. WWE released a clip from their episode and Sarah Logan shared that they were told they would not last six weeks which led to them deciding not to change their characters to fit the group because they were informed that it would not last.

Triple H On 2024 WWE Draft: A Lot Of Thought Has To Go Into It, You Want The Rosters To Be Balanced

Sarah Logan: “We were told we wouldn’t last six weeks, so we didn’t change our characters, because we wanted to be characters outside of The Riott Squad."

Ruby Riott: “Yeah I remember somebody coming up to us and just like, ‘In six weeks nobody is gonna know who The Riott Squad is. You’re all gonna be different characters, you’re all going to be separated…’”

Liv Morgan: “And we were just like, ‘Well... okay.”

Riott, Morgan and Logan were split up by way of the 2019 WWE Superstar Shake-Up and the Shake-Up was immediately followed by the Wild Card rule which allows for talents from RAW and SmackDown to appear on both brands.
