The Rock Details Recent Testicular Cancer Scare, Says He’s Fine Now

The Rock recalls a recent health scare.
From the production of a new ‘Jumanji’ movie all the way to the promotion of the upcoming live-action ‘Moana’ film, 2026 has been a busy year for Dwayne Johnson. As detailed in a new interview with Esquire, Rock also faced a minor health scare earlier this year as well.
After describing a moment where he felt a lump on one of his testicles during a shower, Rock told the outlet that he didn’t worry his wife, Lauren, with the concern.
“I didn’t even tell Lauren. I didn’t want to worry her before I knew if it was anything to even worry about.”
Although he didn’t know it at the time, Johnson ended up being just fine.
“By the way: I’m fine. But I didn’t know that then, and the thing was really painful.”
Rock went on to say that his doctor concluded he was dealing with epididymitis (the inflammation of a coiled tube located at the back of the testicle) or possibly cancer. The day before he could make it to the doctor, he had to do a press event for Jumanji, where he was filled with uncertainty and doubt.
“So I had to live with that for those twenty-four hours, not knowing—and I had to be on all day, joking around, making speeches.”
Johnson proceeded to clarify to the outlet that he is okay now.
Vanity Fair recently reported that The Rock declined an invitation to attend UFC Freedom 250. Learn more here.
