The Rock Is Happy For WWE Superstars Over Fox Deal, Calls It A Great Opportunity

The Rock reflects on his return.

It wouldn't be a big SmackDown show without The Rock, the man who coined the phrase "SmackDown," there to celebrate. With WWE ushering in a new era of SmackDown on Fox, The Rock appeared and helped kick-off the show alongside Becky Lynch as the duo made fun of and eventually laid out King Corbin.

Following the in-ring segment, WWE spoke to The Rock backstage about his return and SmackDown moving to Fox.

"It always feels great to be home. There's no place like home. I'm very, very proud, not only for the company because it's such a monumental moment, being live on Fox, considering how long the company has been around and considering my generation. I have a lot of joy that this is going on, but, in addition to, possibly more important than the company is, I'm so happy for the WWE superstars and everybody in the locker room because what tonight defines is yet another great opportunity. It's another great opportunity for everybody in the back who are scratching, clawing hard to climb that ladder. It's another awesome opportunity.....Then I come around and take about 15 minutes of air time," he joked.
