The Rock: Me Returning To WWE For A Match Always Comes Down To The Reason Why, Doing Something New

The Rock shares his mindset on potentially returning to WWE for a match.

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show prior to the September 15 episode of WWE SmackDown, The Rock detailed the injury he suffered at WrestleMania 29. He was asked whether that was the reason why he hasn't been able to come back to the business as much he he might like. The Rock stated that the injury was not the reason; instead, his potential return always comes down to the reason why. The Rock also noted that he would want to do something new.

Ricky Starks: I'm Glad To See Big Bill Doing Good, He's A Good Dude

"Honestly, brother, it’s not the injury that I’m concerned about because that’s just part of it. It’s just part of the game. You sign up for it. You get hurt. We all get hurt. That’s just the way it is. It’s not even the schedule because I can control the schedule because I can control the schedule, to a large degree. Me going back to WWE and wrestling a match always comes down to the reason why, and what can we create that’s never been done before for the fans. So that’s the idea," The Rock said.

During the interview, The Rock stated that a match with him and Roman Reigns was "locked" for WrestleMania 39. Check out his comments here.
