Roman Reigns hits another milestone.

August 30, 2023 marks three years since Roman Reigns won the WWE Universal Championship. Reigns won the title on August 30, 2020, winning a triple threat match that also featured Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman.

Reigns has made 29 successful title defenses in his three years as champion.

At WrestleMania 38, Reigns won the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar and is officially recognized as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Reigns has defeated the likes of Lesnar, Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, Sami Zayn, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson), Edge, Rey Mysterio, Kevin Owens, Goldberg and John Cena during his run.

Reigns most recent title defense came against Jey Uso at WWE SummerSlam.

Only Bruno Sammartino (2,803 days and 1,237 days), Bob Backlund (2,135 days), and Hulk Hogan (1,474 days) have had longer title reigns with a major WWE championship.

He is not currently scheduled to defend his title in the future.
