Since returning to WWE at SummerSlam 2020, Roman Reigns has received rave reviews for his work as The Tribal Chief of the WWE.
Reigns has embraced the heel side that fans had been wanting for years, and ironically, has endeared himself to many fans as a result.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on his MMA show, Reigns discussed how a live crowd may receive him and how he plans to interact with fans who may now cheer him as a heel after years of booing him as a babyface.
"I think it's perfect," said Reigns. "If I've been able to do this without going in on the fans and really touching on that relationship and dynamic, having to hear all this BS for so long and be bulletproof. I've been able to tell compelling stories just between the characters alone, I haven't even introduced our audience. That just shows how much material and more storytelling I'm going to be able to dive into. It's encouraging because I have more layers to peel back with this character and this position. It's going to be special when I can truly interact with our fanbase."
Fans will return at WrestleMania 37 when Reigns headlines against Daniel Bryan and Edge, though it is unknown when they will return to television events.
Elsewhere during the interview, Reigns discussed a potential showdown with The Rock and going to Hollywood. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
