Roman Reigns: I Hope This Is The Last Time I Face Brock Lesnar, It Hurts Being In The Ring With Him

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar are set to clash once again at WWE SummerSlam in a last man standing match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

The two men met at WrestleMania 38 to unify the WWE Universal and WWE Championships with Reigns coming out on top. The two men have met numerous times dating back to 2015 when they headlined WrestleMania 31.

SummerSlam is being billed as the last time they'll meet and Reigns hopes that is the case.

"I hope it's the last time. It hurts. It's brutal being in the ring with Brock. He's a big ol' country boy and has such a great, legitimate background. He started as an amateur wrestler, all the way through the collegiate ranks, into the UFC, heavyweight champion. He's dominated WWE for a long time. The only problem he has is Roman Reigns showed up and took over. It's going to be great," Reigns told TODAY.

When asked how he feels heading into SummerSlam, Reigns said, "I feel great. I'm on a course now to do something that no one has ever done, dominate Brock Lesnar. We're really entering that kind of timeframe in my career where I'm really pushing myself to a different level and trying to achieve things that have never been done before. Anytime you can beat Brock Lesnar three times in a row, that's pretty good. That's a feather in the cap."

Reigns defeated Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 38 and WWE Crown Jewel 2021. He's won three straight against Lesnar.
