Fresh off his surprise appearance at SummerSlam, Roman Reigns will be on SmackDown this week.
WWE announced that Reigns will be present on the August 28 episode of SmackDown to sign the contract for his Universal Championship match at Payback on August 30. Reigns will take part in a triple threat match for the title against Braun Strowman and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt.
Reigns showed up at SummerSlam right after Wyatt defeated Strowman to regain the Universal Championship. Reigns had been absent from WWE television for several months as he elected to stay home and safe with his family during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
This is the second-ever episode of SmackDOwn to take place at the WWE ThunderDome at the Amway Center. Payback will take place at the Amway Center as well on August 30 and Fightful will have live coverage of the event. For the updated card for Payback, click here.
