Ronda Rousey: It's Hard Not To Take Smack Talk Personally From The Fans

Ronda Rousey is back in WWE and she's once again set to headline WrestleMania.

Rousey returned at WWE Royal Rumble, winning the women's Royal Rumble, giving her the right to challenge the Raw or SmackDown Women's Champion to a match at WrestleMania 38.

In an interview following the Royal Rumble, Rousey noted the positive reaction from the fans, but said she wouldn't fall for "this time." Rousey has had a contentious relationship with WWE fans following her first run, where she was initially cheered but eventually booed. In a post-WWE interview, she said she was "spending my time and my energy on a bunch of fucking ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me."

On screen, Rousey has gone toe-to-toe on the mic with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.

Appearing on a Facebook gaming stream, Rousey was asked if it is hard not to take the smack talk personally when she's in the ring.

"It's hard not to take it personally from the fans because, I do go out there as a character, but also, I am actually Ronda Rousey, I don't play Ronda Rousey on television. Sometimes I take it personally from the fans, not so much the other wrestlers," she said.

Rousey made her WrestleMania decision on Friday's WWE SmackDown, choosing to face Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 38.
