Ronda Rousey Says She'll Never Return To WWE Full-Time But Is Open To Returning For 'Chunks Of Time'

Ronda Rousey has not been seen in WWE since losing the main event of WrestleMania 35 to Becky Lynch. Ronda is under contract with WWE until 2021 but says she's not interested in returning to the company for a full-time run.

Speaking With Steve-O on his show, Wild Ride, the former WWE Raw Women's Champion expressed that she would like to come back for only short stints as she considers herself to be a very obsessive person and when she commits to something she obsesses over it and then takes time to move on to her next passion, but ultimately the lifestyle isn't for her.

“If I ever do come back, it will never be at a full-time capacity ever again. I think for stints, like chunks of time,” she began. “I’m very much an obsessive person where I like to obsess over something for a certain time and then kind of go take some time to obsess about something else, but no I’m never gonna be full time again, over 200 days a year on the road like that ever again. I needed to do it in order to learn and get immersed in it and really understand what was going on, but it’s just not the lifestyle for me.”

Ronda Rousey had a strong year in WWE. She officially debuted in the ring as Kurt Angle's tag team partner against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H at WrestleMania 34 before swiftly moving into the Raw Women's Division and carrying the Raw Women's Championship from SummerSlam through the main event of WrestleMania 35.

Ronda Rousey’s fellow MMA horsewomen, Shayna Baszler, recently lost her opportunity for the Raw Women's Championship against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36. In the build to that match, Becky Lynch would antagonize Shayna by suggesting she is in the shadow of Ronda Rousey. However, outside of Ronda reacting to Shayna’s run in the Royal Rumble, there have been no major teases for her returning to WWE.
