Royce Keys Admits He Was Nervous Before WWE Royal Rumble Debut, ‘It Was A Huge Test’

It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for Royce Keys at the Royal Rumble.

Keys shocked fans around the world by making his debut for WWE in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. He entered at the #14 spot and lasted ten minutes before being eliminated by Bronson Reed.

Speaking with Fox News Digital for a new interview, the former Powerhouse Hobbs revealed that he was nervous before his Royal Rumble debut.

“For me, it was it was a huge test of new audience, new style, being so far away from home, I didn’t know what to expect. Probably one of the handful of times I’ve been nervous in my life. But once I got to walk down that aisle, everything felt so natural, getting in the ring and just being there. All eyes on me so. It was definitely rewarding. You ever get that feeling like you were meant to do something? I had that feeling then.”

Ricky Saints, a former tag team partner of Royce Keys, is set to make his main roster debut on the May 1 episode of WWE SmackDown. Check out the current lineup for that show by clicking here.
