Ruby Soho: I Would Be Honored To Step In The Ring With Serena Deeb

There are no shortage of opponents for Ruby Soho in AEW and while she wants to wrestle all of them, she has singled out one in particular.

Soho has already challenged for the AEW Women's Championship and is in the finals for the AEW TBS Women's Championship, but she also has her eyes set on facing Serena Deeb in a match she's looked forward to for years.

Speaking to Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, Ruby, after mentioning she'd like to wrestle everyone in AEW, singled out Deeb as the one opponent she wants to share the ring with.

"It's one that I have had my eye on for quite some time and that's Serena Deeb. Serena has been kind of a hero of mine and an inspiration throughout my career and I've been one step behind her in each promotion that we've worked for, on the independents and otherwise. I've been nipping at her heels for the last ten years or so. I would be honored to step into the ring with her. She's incredible," she said.

When asked if she received any coaching from Deeb when she was a trainer at the WWE Performance Center, Ruby mentioned that they just missed each other as Ruby had made it to the main roster by the time Deeb was hired.

"She was a coach when I had gone up to the main roster. I knew of her while she was there and I tried to take the seminars and sit in on the classes while I was in the area, but I had moved to Ohio after that and wasn't able to be under her tutelage. To be able to listen to her and how her brain works with wrestling and how unbelievably smart and talented she is makes me that much more excited for the day we do get to step in the ring together," she said.

Deeb recently revealed she is now doing producing and coaching for the women in AEW.

Soho picked up a victory over Nyla Rose on AEW Holiday Bash, putting her in the finals of the AEW TBS Women's Title Tournament. She will face either Jade Cargill or Thunder Rosa on the January 5 episode of AEW Dynamite to crown the first-ever AEW TBS Champion.
