Less than a year after officially joining Ring of Honor's roster, RUSH is now the company's world champion.
In the main event of the "Death Before Dishonor" show in Las Vegas, RUSH won the ROH World Championship by pinning Matt Taven. The match ended Taven's first run as the world champion at 174 days.
After a lengthy career in CMLL, RUSH signed an exclusive deal with Ring of Honor, quickly making his way to the top of the card, picking up wins against the likes of Dalton Castle, Bandido and Taven. RUSH is now the first wrestler born in Mexico to capture ROH's top singles title.
