Sam Adonis names three pro wrestlers alive today that he would consider dream matches at this stage of his career.
Adonis has been a staple of AAA for several years now, proving to be one of the companies most well known exports, now he has spoken about a number of wrestlers he would like to face off with in the ring.
While speaking to SOTO619 in a new interview, Sam Adonis was asked to name his dream matches of talent that are alive today.
“Cody Rhodes would be one. John Cena would be the other.”
Adonis was then corrected, noting that the talent also couldn’t be retired from the ring.
“So we’ll say Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, and… probably would go along the lines of, let’s say, I’ve already wrestled him before, but he’s grown a lot. Jake Lee from New Japan and I had a killer match in the 2019 champion tournament. He was younger, I was younger, but now we’re both matured as main event performers. So if I could do that one more time, I would be very happy.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Sam spoke about being a ‘little jealous’ of El Grande Americano’s success in AAA. You can read more about that here.
