Sami Zayn's injuries will require two surgeries.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Sami Zayn was injured and his injury happened before his match on Sunday at Money in the Bank. In an interview with WWE.com, Zayn explained how his injury occurred. He had already a "bad shoulder" which was his left before injuring his right. He just had surgery on his right shoulder and will have a similar surgery on the "bad" shoulder in six to eight weeks.
As far as recovery, Zayn mentioned "eight months" as a time period that were "not going to be fun." He did say he hopes to be back in time for WrestleMania 35 which is over nine months away.
"Because of the timeline, I’d love to be in the mix for WrestleMania season; that’s the most exciting time of the year for all of us. I think timeline wise, I should be ready in time for WrestleMania, so fingers crossed," said Zayn.
In the rest of the interview, Zayn talked about how he felt he has hit his "stride" and how inconvenient the timing of the injury has been.
