Sami Zayn Wins WWE United States Title On 3/27 WWE SmackDown

Sami Zayn is the new WWE United States Champion.
On the 3/27 WWE SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis informed Sami Zayn that he doesn’t have a spot at WrestleMania currently. Zayn promised that he’d find a way to be on the show’s match card.
Later in the night, Carmelo Hayes did another US Title Open Challenge, which Zayn answered. Trick Williams was sitting on the commentary desk throughout the bout.
Towards the end, Williams got up and threw the US Title in the ring. The referee got distracted because of it. Both Zayn and Hayes were near the ropes, and it seemed like Williams was going to take revenge on Zayn for punching him earlier, but he ended up hitting the champion instead.
Congratulations to the NEW United States Champion!! 🏆
