Sammy Guevara: RUSH Don’t Play In The Ring, I’m Glad We’re Teaming Up Now

Sammy Guevara is asked for a comment on his tag team with RUSH and simply says that, as someone who has faced him before, he’s glad they’re now on the same side.

Sammy Guevara joined La Faccion Ingobernable at Ring of Honor’s ROH Death Before Dishonor 2025 event. He and RUSH defeated The Outrunners’ Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum. For Guevara, he was briefly forced to forfeit the ROH World Tag Team Championships when Dustin Rhodes got injured.

Guevara briefly spoke with Justin Dhillon of The Wrestling Classic at Wrestle Verse 2025. During the discussion, Guevara was asked what he had learned about his new tag team partner after their experience teaming up. “The Spanish God” said that he knew everything he needed to when they were opposite from each other in the ring, and now, he feels bad for their opponents.

“I’m doing pretty great. I mean, it’s always good to be me, especially now that I’m a champion once again. I think it was not the champion for about a day. So it was a long 24 hours, but here I am Tag Team Champions now with RUSH So, yeah, man, the future looks bright as always,” he began. “He and I actually wrestled each other many years ago. So he goes. RUSH don’t play. When he’s in the ring, I feel bad for his opponent, so I’m glad he’s my tag team partner.”
