Samoa Joe Choked Out By Karrion Kross, Bronson Reed Confronts Adam Cole | NXT Fight Size

Here is your post-NXT fight size update for Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

- Dakota Kai defeated Ember Moon in the opening match of NXT. Following the contest, Xia Li approached the ring and confronted NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez. Xia told Raquel that she was standing in the way of her destiny. Later in the night, it was announced that they will face off with the title on the line next week, July 20th.

- Following his loss at NXT's Great American Bash, Cameron Grimes showed up for his first day of butler duties at LA Knight's house. The day started with a makeover, saw Grimes pay a child to do his lawn work, and ended with LA Knight getting accidentally knocked in the pool by Grimes.

- Tyler Rust defeated Bobby Fish after the former Undisputed Era member got distracted by Roderick Strong's presence on the ring apron. Diamond Mine attacked Fish after the bell but KUSHIDA came to his rescue, swinging his Cruiserweight Title around to clear out the ring. It was later announced that Bobby Fish and KUSHIDA will team up next week to take on Diamond Mine's Strong and Rust.

- Mandy Rose made a surprise appearance on NXT, standing atop the ramp for Sarray's victory over Gigi Dolin. She gave Sarray a nod of approval before walking to the back. Later in the show, she crossed paths with Franky Monet and commented on how it appeared that Robert Stone's brand was under new management.

- Santos Escobar defeated Dexter Lumis. Following the match, Lumis and Indi Hartwell nearly kissed, but it was broken up by Candice LeRae. Earlier in the night, Indi was told by Beth Phoenix that sometimes you just have to take a chance.

Legado del Fantasma, however, was met at the top of the ramp by Hit Row.

- Although he lost to Adam Cole at The Great American Bash, Kyle O'Reilly told Wade Barrett, "I'm not just the guy that can and will beat Adam Cole, I'm the guy that can and will finish Adam Cole."

- Ikemen Jiro was defeated by Duke Hudson in the first round of NXT's Breakout Tournament.

- Pete Dunne was conducting an interview backstage when he was interrupted by Timothy Thatcher. He took exception with Dunne calling himself the best technician in the world. A brawl proceeded to break out involving Dunne, Thatcher, Tommaso Ciampa, and Oney Lorcan.

- Jessi Kamea and Aliyah were defeated by Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter. After the bell, Aliyah attacked Robert Stone and walked out on her own. Franky Monet then made her way to the ring and spoke with Jessi. Stone told her to follow Monet as he hobbled along behind them.

- Adam Cole came out to boast about his victory at The Great American Bash but was interrupted shortly thereafter by Bronson Reed. The former NXT North American Champion says that he no longer has anything to lose and sees Cole as his golden opportunity. Cole tried to hit Reed with a superkick, but it was caught. A brief rope running sequence ended with Bronson crashing into Cole and sending running for safety.

- Karrion Kross defeated Johnny Gargano in the main event of NXT to retain his NXT Championship. Kross took exception with Joe getting in his face (both earlier in the night and during the match) and denying him the use of weapons by attacking and choking him out to end the show.
