Saraya (Paige) Says She'll Do Promos For Companies, But Won't Wrestle Unless It's A 'Big Moment'

Saraya (Paige in WWE) has once again commented on her in-ring future.

Saraya was forced to retire in December 2017 due to a neck injury at the age of 25. She continued to make appearances on WWE television as a General Manager and manager for the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane), but stopped appearing regularly after splitting from the Kabuki Warriors in October 2019.

Saraya left WWE in July after her contract expired and she was not re-signed.

Speaking to Renee Paquette on The Sessions, Saraya provided another update on her future in wrestling.

"I feel fantastic, I really do feel fantastic. I still have the mental block of, 'Oh my God, if I was to get in the ring, what if?' If I was to have to be in the ring, it would be for a really big moment to wrestle. I'll do promos here and there, for big companies, but to actually wrestle, it would have to be a really big moment. I would love to face Sasha again, for real. It ended the way it did," she said, referencing Sasha Banks being the one who kicked her near the neck at a live event in Saraya's current last match.

Saraya has said multiple times that she holds no ill will towards Sasha.

When Renee mentioned that Saraya's heart is still in wrestling, she said, "Always. Always. I'm like Ric Flair, I'm gonna have a ton of retirements. Ric Flair, I'm going to be your age and be like, 'My last one guys, I promise.' [laughs]"

Flair recently wrestled his advertised last match at the age of 73.

Giving one last comment about returning to the ring, Saraya said, "It'd be really special. We'll see though."

Since being off television, Saraya has taken to Twitch streaming. She is also currently working on a book.

She is set to be part of WAW Frightmare IV on October 15.
