The Boss is set for her in-ring return.
The Wrap reports that Sasha Banks will make her in-ring return on Monday's WWE Raw when she faces Natalya. This marks Banks' first match since losing the Women's Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 35. Banks reportedly wanted out of the company following WrestleMania, feeling frustrated that she and Bayley were not given a longer run with the Women's Tag Team Championships. She was given time to recharge, eventually returning on the Aug. 12 Raw, attacking Natalya and laying out Becky Lynch. On the Aug. 19 episode of Raw, Banks once again attacked Natalya, wishing her and her dad, Jim Neidhart, well in hell.
Before Banks and Natalya square off, Banks will open the show and address her recent actions.
“Last week’s promo by Sasha was designed to establish her character’s villainous take on all situations,” one key “Raw” writer, who requested their name be withheld from this story, told The Wrap. “This week’s is designed to get into the backstory, why she’s turned heel, the motivation behind the change in her persona.”
Fightful will have live coverage of WWE Raw beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
