Seth Rollins On Breaking Up The Shield: If You Want To Make An Omelet, You Gotta Break A Few Eggs

Seth Rollins does not regret breaking up The Shield.

The Shield (Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose) is one of the top factions in WWE history, as the group thrived together, and the stablemates all went on to achieve greatness on their own. Rollins memorably broke up the group when he turned on Ambrose and Reigns in 2014. The Shield reunited a few times over the years before Ambrose left WWE in 2019.

GQ Sports shared a video in which Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch highlighted some things they could not live without. Steel chairs came up in the conversation, and Rollins noted that they had become a very important part of his career, as he used one when he turned on Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. He then stated that he did not regret breaking up The Shield

“For me personally, the black chair changes the trajectory of my career. I swatted Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose with a black chair almost a decade ago now, turned on my best friends in a very devious moment. I do not regret breaking up The Shield. If you want to make an omelet, you gotta break a few eggs," Rollins said.

In a previous interview, Rollins said that fans would not see The Shield together again until they were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Check out his comments here.
