Seth Rollins Says There Has Been No One On WWE's Main Roster Besides AJ Styles That Has Matched His In-Ring Work In 2018

"The Architect" Seth Rollins is on fire.

Former two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins kick-started his 2018 as a RAW Tag Team Champion and four months later he went on to become WWE's Intercontinental Champion when he won the title in a Triple-Threat match at WrestleMania 34. Rollins' popularity skyrocketed as many who tuned into the product coming out of WrestleMania felt that Rollins was on a hot streak--stringing together matches that had the fans watching him going crazy.

Rollins looks to continue his hot streak when he challenges Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. Rollins is currently in China doing promotional work for WWE's September 1st live event in Shanghai and while in the "Land Of The Rising Sun" Rollins sat down to speak with the South China Morning Post. During that interview Rollins went on to speak about his hot 2018 and added that he believes that the only other person who has been on his level this year is the current WWE Champion AJ Styles.

“Yeah, it’s been a really good year for me,” Rollins said. “Honestly, you look at my body of work from SummerSlam last year to SummerSlam this year – I really don’t think there’s anybody on the main roster, aside from an AJ Styles give or take, that can compare with what I’ve done. From winning the tag team titles, to winning the Intercontinental title at Mania, to the gauntlet match performance on RAW, to some of the matches I’ve been a part of the last six months, nobody can hold a candle to what I’ve done in the ring. I definitely feel I’m back on top for sure.”

Speaking of that September 1st live event in Shanghai, fans in attendance for the event will also see the return of former 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena who has stated that he will be unveiling his new finishing maneuver at that very event.
