Shawn Spears: So Maybe Now I Can Wrestle Matt Cardona Again

In the wake of Matt Cardona’s WWE return on this past week’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Shawn Spears wants a bout with him.

On the January 2nd edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Matt Cardona would make his return to WWE programming after a brief appearance last year as Zack Ryder. However, this time, Cardona would be announced as the latest addition to the WWE Friday Night SmackDown roster, re-signing with WWE following several years on the independent circuit, achieving his goal of getting back to WWE and being able to utilize his Cardona name on the roster.

In a social media post over the weekend, WWE NXT’s Shawn Spears took the opportunity to discuss his chance of getting to face Cardona in singles action once again, with the pair most recently wrestling on the independent circuit back in 2023.
