They're running it back again.
NXT Takeover: WarGames will see the latest installment in the Shayna Baszler-Kairi Sane series, as the two will do battle once again.
Baszler regained the NXT Women's Championship from Sane at WWE Evolution last month en route to becoming the first ever two-time NXT Women's Champion. It was announced on Wednesday night's episode of NXT that the re-match would take place at WarGames.
Baszler has actually been sidelined since that match with a minor ankle injury, and was seen in New York on crutches.
Sane and Baszler have already worked together three dozen times, dating back to appearances in Stardom in 2017. Sane defeated Shayna Baszler in the finals of the first Mae Young Classic in 2017 and also won the NXT Women's title from Baszler at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4. Baszler would avenge each of those losses with televised wins of her own, including one at the Atlanta NXT tapings earlier this year. The two have also traded wins and losses on live events.
NXT Takeover: WarGames takes place November 17 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Fightful will have full live coverage of the event, plus a live post-show podcast and match ratings.
