Sheamus Says He Would Love To Make An Appearance At 'Over The Top Wrestling' In Ireland

Sheamus would like to go back.

The Irish-born WWE superstar Sheamus has seemingly done it all in the sports-entertainment company. Sheamus has been WWE World Champion four times. He is a current and five-time Tag Team Champion, won King Of The Ring, a Royal Rumble match, the Money In The Bank contract and much more. The only title that has held Sheamus back from becoming a Grand Slam Champion is the Intercontinental Title.

Before all of that success Sheamus was a young kid starting his career in Ireland and promotions such as 'Irish Whip Wrestling' helped him develop as an in-ring competitor. Another Irish promotion that has become a staple on the Ireland wrestling scene is 'Over The Top Wrestling' which is ran by Joe Cabray. While speaking with The Irish Mirror, the Dublin native Sheamus praised Joe Cabray for what he has done with OTT. Joe Cabray did have a stint in WWE under the name "Luther Ward" but things did not go according to plan so he found his own way and is now at the helm of one of the top wrestling promotions in Ireland.

"What's happening in Irish wrestling right now is amazing. Joe Cabray is doing a phenomenal job. He spent some time in FCW, but obviously he's an entrepreneur and he had a bigger vision. He wasn't comfortable in America and he just loves wrestling and knew what it could be capable of in Ireland. I think all of that is very good for young wrestlers back home." Sheamus said. "Even if you look at WWE we have five Irish people involved if you count Jordan Devlin on NXT U.K. and Fit Finlay producing as well as myself, Becky Lynch and Finn Balor."

Sheamus added that he would love to attend an OTT show if his schedule allows for it. Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor made a surprise appearance for the promotion in 2016 while he was out rehabbing the injury he suffered at that year's SummerSlam pay-per-view.

"I'd love to go, but it's just a matter of actually getting home. I don't get the chance to get home much, and when I do my mom is in Clare and my dad is in Dublin so it's hard when you have a few days to travel all the way around the country. When I was back last time I missed a show because I had just got back." Sheamus said.

While on the topic of 'Over The Top Wrestling', the promotion has a former WWE star in Neville AKA PAC slated to compete at one of their forthcoming shows.
