Shingo Takagi Questions Why Dragon Lee Is Constantly Mentioning Hiromu Takahashi

Shingo is focused on winning the Best Of The Super Juniors.

Day one of the 2019 NJPW Best Of The Super Juniors tournament began today and there were five A-Block matches that closed the show and former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Shingo Takagi clashed with one-half of the current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions SHO in a tournament match. Shingo defeated SHO and is looking to go the distance in the tournament and eventually capture the IWGP Junior Title that is being held by Dragon Lee.

The Elite: We're Getting AEW Back To What It Was Supposed To Be

Before the Best Of The Super Juniors got underway, Shingo spoke with NJPW1972.com and talked about Dragon Lee and asked why Lee is always mentioning Hiromu Takahashi and questioned if Hiromu is the only competitor that Lee is worried about while there are a handful of talents competing in B.O.S.J. that are gunning for his title.

"When I see him wrestle, he has a lot of confidence, and I know he holds a bunch of belts in Mexico. He’s not lacking in ability or accomplishments. I just wonder whether there might be a little gap between his confidence and his ability, some wriggle room there, and in his interviews, just mentioning Hiromu every single time, it’s all he talks about right? Is he really only interested in Hiromu?" Shingo questioned.

Shingo Takagi shared his thoughts about each of the talents competing in this year's tournament and to stay up to date with the tourney standings, check out Fightful's standings article.
