Shotzi Blackheart has been using a mini-tank as part of her entrance before Sammy Guevara "invaded" the 2020 Royal Rumble. But following Guevara's invasion, many claimed Shotzi ripped off the idea when she began appearing on NXT riding a tank.
Speaking to Comic Book, Shotzi discussed Guevara beating her to the punch with the tank.
"Not for a really long time," Blackheart said when asked how long she pushed the idea of getting her tank on television. "I made it known that I had a miniature tank, and I showed them pictures. And just one day, they were like, 'Hey, get it here today.' And I'm like, 'You got it, bud.'"
When asked if she was upset about being accused of ripping off AEW, she replied, "Yes. It was a little frustrating because they had already expressed interest in it before he came out in a tank, and I already had come out in that tank on the indies a few times. So I was like, 'Man, this is my thing, and it's been my thing for a while, and you're stealing my thunder now.'"
Guevara showing up at the Royal Rumble was seen as mocking D-X invading WCW with a tank that was really a jeep. Shotzi ended up doing a vignette with an actual tank on an episode of NXT.
