Sienna Wins The SHINE Championship

Sienna has done it!

In mid-July former three-time IMPACT Knockouts Champion Sienna's profile was removed from the active roster page on the IMPACT Wrestling website and transferred over to the alumni section. It was soon confirmed that Sienna and IMPACT agreed to part ways with one another. Her contract with the company expired while she was out rehabbing after suffering an injury.

Shortly after the news went public about Sienna no longer being an active member of the IMPACT Wrestling roster, she made her return to 'SHINE Wrestling' which is where she worked for a number of years during her career. Sienna returned at SHINE 52 in July under her birth name Allysin Kay. She was then announced to be a participant in the field of eight competitors who were going to be battling in a tournament to crown a new SHINE Champion.

Today at SHINE 53 in Queens, NY the promotion hosted the aforementioned tournament which featured Mercedes Martinez, Allysin Kay, Brandi Lauren, Stormie Lee, Candy Cartwright and Ivelisse. The finals of the tournament saw the Mae Young Classic II competitors square off to determine who was going to become the new head honcho of SHINE and at the end of the contest, standing tall with the SHINE Championship risen above her head was Allysin Kay.

As mentioned, both Allysin Kay and Mercedes Martinez are a part of this year's Mae Young Classic field. To take a look at the brackets for this year's tournament and see were both competitors stand, click here.
