New CMLL World Trios Champions crowned.
CMLL hosted a new edition of their weekly show "Viernes Espectacular" from Arena Mexico on May 16, 2025. The event was headlined by Los Infernales (Averno, Mephisto & Euforia) defending their CMLL World Trios Titles against Sky Team (Místico, Neón & Máscara Dorada) in a rematch of their non-title match the week before.
After a highly contested bout and after Neón took out Euforia on the outside with a beautiful Double-Jump Moonsault from the ramp to ringside, Máscara Dorada put away Mephisto with a Shooting Star Press. At the same time, Místico tapped Averno to pick up the win and gain the World Trios Titles.
This is Místico's first title reign as a Trios champion in his career, previously holding the CMLL World Tag Titles five times. This was the second Trios title reign for both Neón & Máscara Dorada, previously holding the belts alongside Star Jr. before losing the belts to Los Infernales.
