SmackDown Viewership Sees Increase For March 21 Episode With Shane McMahon Confronting AJ Styles

Last night's episode of SmackDown, featuring an advertised Tag Team Title Match--which saw The Usos defeat American Alpha to become new champs--plus Randy Orton vs Baron Corbin, Miz & Maryse doing sketch comedy spoofing John Cena and Nikki Bella, and a main event segment that saw Shane McMahon deliver a flying elbow drop to AJ Styles through the announce table, drew 2.647 million viewers, according to ShowBuzz Daily. This is a slight increase from last week's 2.628 million viewers, and is almost the exact average for an episode in 2017. The average viewership for SmackDown is 2.648 million.

SmackDown came in at #4 in viewership on cable for the night, behind HGTV's Fixer Upper, and Tucker Carlson and The O'Reilly Factor, both on FOX News. SmackDown pulled the #1 spot in the highly coveted 18-49 demographic.

IPW Defiance Results (4/21): Multiple Title Matches

By contrast, Monday's episode of RAW drew just 3.048 million viewers, one of their lowest numbers of the year, and down from last week's 3.232 million viewers
