Sol Ruca Retains WWE Women’s Speed Title By Defeating Jaida Parker At NXT No Mercy

Involvement from ZARIA and Lash Legend factored into the result.

It was advertised for WWE NXT No Mercy that Lainey Reid would be challenging Sol Ruca for the WWE Women’s Speed Championship.

Before the show began, Shawn Michaels shared that Reid suffered an injury while training and is not cleared to compete. He added that Ruca would still be defending her title and her opponent would be revealed at match time.

Answering the call was Jaida Parker. As the five minutes were coming to an end, Parker got into a verbal back-and-forth with Ruca’s partner, ZARIA. Lash Legend showed up behind Parker to talk some trash, and ZARIA charged at Parker, but Parker sidestepped and ZARIA speared Lash.

When Parker stepped back into the ring, she was hit with a Sol Snatcher, and that put her away to secure the win for Ruca.

Ruca has held the Speed Title since April. The match at No Mercy was her third defense of the belt. She also has the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
