Major happenings went down during the IMPACT Wrestling tapings on October 8.

IMPACT Wrestling held its latest set of television tapings on October 8 from Albany, NY. During the tapings (according to PWInsider), new IMPACT Tag Team Champions were crowned as Heath & Rhino defeated The OGK (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) to win the belts.
This marks the first reign as IMPACT Tag Team Champions for Heath & Rhino. The OGK won the titles on the September 1 episode of IMPACT Wrestling.
The IMPACT contracts of Taven, Bennett, and Maria Kanellis expired on October 8. It is unknown if they will remain with the company. Honor No More was seemingly disbanded at the tapings after Eddie Edwards ran down the group in a promo and PCO attacked members of the group. Maria, Taven, Bennett, and Vincent embraced at the end of the segment.
Also during the tapings, Frankie Kazarian exercised Option C, giving him a shot at Josh Alexander and the IMPACT World Championship at IMPACT Overdrive on November 18. To exercise Option C, Kazarian had to vacant the IMPACT X Division Championship, which he won from "Speedball" Mike Bailey at IMPACT Bound For Glory.
An eight-man tournament to crown a new X-Division Champion will be held with the finals taking place at IMPACT Overdrive.
