SPOILERS: Pete Dunne Defending WWE U.K. Title, NXT U.K. Tag Titles Match Set For TakeOver: Blackpool

The match card is already shaping up.

The NXT U.K. brand held TV tapings for their weekly WWE Network show today in Liverpool. The show stated off with the announcement by way of NXT founder and senior producer Triple H and NXT U.K. on-screen GM Johnny Saint that on January 12th streaming live on the WWE Network will be the first-ever NXT U.K. TakeOver special from Blackpool, England at the Empress Ballroom.

Once that major news broke, it was then made official that at the event the 2018 Mae Young Classic winner Toni Storm wil face Rhea Ripley for the NXT U.K. Women's Championship.

After a tag team victory against Mark Coffey and Wolfgang at the Liverpool tapings, the former NXT Tag Team Champions Tyler Bate and Trent Seven were announced to be moving on to TakeOver: Blackpool to crown the first-ever NXT U.K. Tag Team Champions. Their opponents for the TakeOver special have yet to be determined. The reigning WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne will be defending his title at TakeOver: Blackpool as well as he goes one-on-one with the Scottish beast and former two-time ICW World Heavyweight Champion Joe Coffey.
