Steph De Lander Confirms She’s Still A Free Agent, ‘I Think That’ll Change Pretty Soon’
Since leaving TNA Wrestling in March and returning to the ring, Steph De Lander has found a home in Ring of Honor.
De Lander started appearing on ROH programming in June, and quickly made an impact in the Pure division, entering into a feud with Pure Women’s Champion Deonna Purrazzo.
On Friday at ROH Death Before Dishonor, SDL will challenge Purrazzo for the Pure Women’s Title. Despite competing in a title bout, De Lander confirmed to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp that she is still a free agent.
“Right now I am still a free agent. I find myself here every so often. But I think that’ll change pretty soon. I’m not gonna speak on behalf of anyone else. I’m really enjoying what I’m doing and where I’m at. It’s not like I’m out here clawing for the next opportunity. I am in a great opportunity. So I’m going to rock with that for where I’m at and see where that leads me. But for technicality purposes right now, still a free agent,” she said.
De Lander has been active on the independent scene, wrestling for REVOLVER, HOG, New South, and more.
The last time Steph De Lander and Deonna Purrazzo faced off, the bout was stopped due to an injury to Purrazzo and never made air.
ROH Death Before Dishonor takes place on Friday, August 21. The event will air on HonorClub. The show will be headlined by Bandido defending the ROH World Title against Nick Waye.
Fightful will have coverage of the event beginning at 8 PM ET.
