Steve Austin Left WrestleMania 41 Before John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes To Beat The Crowd

The main event of WrestleMania 41 saw John Cena defeat Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Heavyweight Championship, after interference from Travis Scott, a low blow, and a belt shot to Rhodes' head.

Reactions to the match were mixed, with some fans praising it and some fans decrying it. But one man didn't even see it and that man is Stone Cold Steve Austin.

'Smart' Mark Sterling Agrees That Wrestling Is Cinema

Austin recently appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show to discuss a myriad of topics. One of the topics was the main event of 'Mania 41 -- a match that Austin said he didn't see in person, despite being in the arena just moments earlier. When Helwania asked Austin if he saw the main event, the Rattlesnake didn't beat around the proverbial bush.

"I didn't see it," Austin stated.

Helwania asked if Austin went home, and Austin said that he did, indeed. Helwani then asked if there was any reason he missed the match.

No, I just wanted to beat the crowd. I haven’t watched it back," Austin said.

We've all left events early to beat the traffic, and that seems to be what Austin was trying to do.

Austin also spoke about a number of things, including his ATV crash, his favorite matches from WrestleMania 41, his WrestleMania 38 match with Kevin Owens, and more.
