Steve Maclin Hospitalizes Rhino, Athena Retains Over Skye Blue | IMPACT x ROH Recap

Here is your fight size update following IMPACT and ROH Wrestling on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

Below are highlights from both Thursday night wrestling shows.

Update On Jeff Hardy's AEW Contract

IMPACT Wrestling

- Steve Maclin defeated Rhino to retain his IMPACT World Championship. After the match, Steve Pillmanized Rhino's leg.

- Maclin now knows that he will defend his championship against PCO at IMPACT Under Siege.

- Jason Hotch and John Skyler, The Good Hands, defeated DECAY with help from Brian Myers. Myers now thinks that this team could become the future Tag Team Champions.

- Dirty Dango, with Joe Hendry in his corner, made quick work of Johnny Swinger.

- Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich opened the show with an intense one-on-one encounter. In the end, Slamovich picked up a massive W.

- Sami Callihan and Rich Swann infiltrated The Design and were able to get some licks in on the Deaner-led cult

- Gia Miller interviewed Trinity, who made her historic IMPACT debut last week. Trinity says she’s not just here to talk. She’s here to fight. Jai Vidal, however, is here to take selfies.

- Gia Miller's interview with Frankie Kazarian continued. Check out part three below:

- Nick Aldis competed on IMPACT for the first time in six years, defeating Sheldon Jean.

- The Coven defeated Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace in the headliner to retain the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Titles. After the match, Trinity came out to save Grace from a post-match beating.

Ring of Honor

- In the headliner of the most recent episode of Ring of Honor, Athena successfully retained the Ring of Honor Women's World Championship by defeating Skye Blue.

- After Mark Briscoe defeated Shane Taylor, he said he still had his eyes on the Ring of Honor World TV Championship and told Samoa Joe to keep his belt warm.

- Speaking of Samoa Joe, he defeated Blake Christian decisively.

- In another women's match on the Ring of Honor card, Robyn Renegade defeated Vert Vixen.

- With Stu Grayson watching on, The Righteous successfully defeated The Infantry. After that, Grayson appeared to be thoroughly perplexed by Dutch & Vincent.

- Speaking of Grayson, he later teamed with the rest of the members of Dark Order, picking up a victory over a combination of the Varsity Athletes and the Trustbusters. At the end of this match, Alex Reynolds pushed Grayson off to make sure he was the one that got the pin. Grayson was once again thoroughly confused.

- Kyle Fletcher, who attacked Orange Cassidy on the May 10 AEW Dynamite, was successful against Tony Deppen.

- Prince Nana & The Gates of Agony defended themselves against allegations made by Dalton Castle that imply they had something to do with injuring one of the boys.

- The Embassy was later successful against three tough competitors.

- AR Fox defeated Anthony Henry. Afterward, Shane Taylor appeared to form an alliance with Anthony Henry and JD Drake. However, FTR came out to make the save.

- Next week, there will be a Fight Without Honor between the Action Andretti & Darius Martin team and The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett).
