Steven Borden Says His Journey In Wrestling Has Been A Fun Ride So Far

It was at his father’s final match that Steven Borden knew he wanted to pursue wrestling.

Steven Borden, the son of Sting, is in the mix of AEW programming, and at All Out, he’ll be teaming with TNT Champion Darby Allin to take on Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight.

Going into the bout, Borden and Allin sat down with Good Karma Wrestling for a chat. Borden spoke about his journey in wrestling so far.

“It’s been a lot of training, a lot of time in Atlanta with this guy (Darby Allin). Just trying to get as ready as I can. I think the last month or so has been a whirlwind. You don’t really have time to think about what’s happening. It’s just the next show. Okay, Dynamite. Okay, Collision. Here we go. But it’s been a fun ride so far.”

Borden went on to state that he knew he wanted to pursue a career in wrestling when he was involved in his father’s final match at the 2024 Revolution pay-per-view, where Sting and Darby Allin defeated The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) to retain the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

“Pretty much during Revolution at my dad’s retirement match. Watching him kind of ride off into the sunset and realizing that my life is gonna pass quickly too and I’m gonna be his age one day and I could either look back and say I took the step that I wanted to take or I could look back and say what if, and I just didn’t want to live with that what-if question. So it was right after Revolution pretty much.”

The winners of the aforementioned tag team match at the 2026 All Out pay-per-view will secure a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Titles.
