Stu Bennett Says That He Never Felt The Pressure Of Being In The Main Event Scene When He Was In WWE

Stu was always ready.

Former five-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Stu Bennett or better known by some as "Wade Barrett" has transitioned to the role of an on-screen figurehead since his departure from the land of sports and entertainment. Bennett did commentary and played the on-screen GM role for 'Defiant Wrestling'. Bennett is currently featured on World Of Sport where he does commentary and is the on-screen GM of that show as well. On top of that, the "Barrett Of Bad News" is starring in the film 'I Am Vengeance' which debuted in select theaters around the globe on August 24th and is available to watch on-demand.

To promote the movie release, Bennett spoke with TV Insider and during the discussion he spoke about his time spent in the WWE and if he ever felt the pressure from jumping from the position which he called being a "nobody" to being prominently featured in the main event scene.

?When I was in WWE I went from being a complete nobody to a main event guy in 2010,? Bennett said. ?I was battling all the top stars like John Cena and Randy Orton. People asked me then if I felt the pressure of being in the top spot. Did I feel the pressure of everyone watching what I was doing? The true answer is no. The pressure I felt in my wrestling career was when I was the guy who wasn?t known and had to try and build a name for myself and build a career for myself. I wasn?t sure if I would be employed a week later, that was pressure. Very much the feeling I get now in the film world is when you?re in the lead role. There is pressure attached with it, but I feel good with that pressure. That?s what I want. That?s the position I want to be in. I was in the smaller roles trying to get into this lead role position. I want every role I am in to be in that spot." He said. "Not saying that is always going happen, but when I?m in that spot I feel good and want to carry the movie. Hopefully, it?s a big success in part because of my involvement with it.?

While on topic of Stu Bennett, the World Of Sport GM recently sent an invitation to Neville who has reportedly been freed from his WWE contract.
