Swerve Strickland: Kofi Kingston Is One Of The Top Five Greatest To Ever Do It. He’s The Perfect Type Of Role Model

Swerve Strickland shares his thoughts on Kofi Kingston.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day recently departed WWE after the company tried to restructure their deals. The support for them, especially Kofi, has been unanimous, with a lot of wrestlers coming out to share their personal stories with him. One of the wrestlers who deeply respects Kofi is AEW’s Swerve Strickland.

Speaking on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Swerve called Kofi Kingston the perfect type of role model in wrestling.

“I had very small words, like just through texts and stuff. It’s hard to find anybody that has anything negative to say about him. He’s had such like a polished record for 20 years. Never a bad thing to say about, never in the news about anything, never said the wrong things, never been in the wrong places. So he’s like the epitome of professionalism when it comes to that, especially in our culture. You look at Kofi as one of the top five greatest to ever do it. He’s a model. A role model, but he’s the model type of role model. He’s the perfect type of role model.”
